Privacy & care
Your words stay with you.

Only on this device
Palepage has no account system and no server that stores letters. What you write and seal stays in your browser’s local storage on your device. We cannot see, read, or recover your letters.
What we collect
Nothing about the content of your letters. We do not upload, read, analyze, sell, or track your writing. The app makes no network requests containing your content.
This website is a set of static pages: it sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
An optional lock
You can add a passphrase lock, which encrypts your letters on your device (AES-GCM). The passphrase is never stored or sent anywhere. If you forget it, the locked archive cannot be recovered — so keep an encrypted backup somewhere safe.
Backups and your control
You can export a plain or encrypted copy of your archive at any time, import it on another device, or erase everything on the device you’re using. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes local letters.
Crisis-word care
If your writing mentions self-harm, Palepage may gently show a link to helpline resources (such as findahelpline.com). This check happens entirely on your device; nothing you write is sent anywhere.
This is not medical care
Palepage is a light emotional-release tool — not therapy, treatment, or a crisis service, and not a substitute for professional care. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please talk to a real person now: find a helpline in your country.
